Blogging is extremely powerful but often overlooked as a marketing strategy for people who have an online business. I myself find that incredible because it has been the back bone of my internet business for many years and something that I have been very successful with.

Blogging Mistakes – The 3 Blogging Pitfalls To Avoid
Blogging Mistakes – Never Fake It
There is a saying “fake it till you make it” and it is very common within the internet marketing space but this can relate to any industry. Quite simply this is where people make out that they have achieved certain things but in reality they have achieved nothing. That’s not good!
Don’t put any content on your blog that is false and unauthentic. An example of this would be to say that you are making a certain amount of money per month with a specific business model in the hope that people would then sign up to the same program based on what you have said.
Always be truthful because if you aren’t then it will come back to haunt you because you will be found out and any credibility that you may have had will totally disappear and you will never get it back.
Blogging Mistakes – Blogging For The Sake Of It
You may hear from so called guru’s that you have to post massive amounts of content on your blog. To a certain extent I agree with this and my recommendation is that you do 1 post a day but it should always be quality content and not done just for the sake of it.
Quality always trumps quantity so if you find it hard to blog daily then post 3 – 4 times a week and make sure it is really high quality stuff. Be consistent in the amount of posts you do as your readership will soon learn to expect fresh updates at certain times during the week.
Also always have a purpose for writing a blog post. It could be to gain leads or generate sales. Alternatively it could be to simply provide value to your readership so make sure you determine the objective of your post.
Blogging Mistakes – Never Focus On Money
It is easy to spot if someone is just blogging to make money and this is a real turn off for the majority of people. Always focus on providing valuable helpful information first and solving your audience problems, addressing certain pain points that individuals are suffering from.
Do your market research and make sure that you understand what your reader is going through. Put them at ease by assuring them there is a solution available and then lead them into your free or paid offer. Then you will find that the money will follow naturally. Remember that money is a bi-product of helping someone.
